Over 10,000 Australian children are currently fighting cancer. Another 1,000 will be diagnosed over the next year. Cancer affects around 1 in 300 kids prior to reaching adulthood and kills 1 in 5 within 5 years. Up to 80% of survivors develop severe, chronic and often life-threatening health issues. Current treatments toxic, many are decades old. Only 3 new drugs have been developed over the last 30 years.
